"Piri-Piri" seems to be the general Swahili name for "hot pepper", it is listed: http://zygote.agfor.unimelb.edu.au:8008/Porcher/Plantnames/Sorting/Cap sicum_allinclu.html ...as a Capsicum frutescens, but not very well defined.
