When I took a gardening class at the local community college, they
told us that BT (bacillus thurgicide) is a good remedy for most
bugs, including grasshoppers. BT is a naturally occuring virus
that eats the bugs from the inside out. Grasshoppers are canabilistic
and will attack weaker members. After they ingest the BT, they sicken
and become victims for other grasshoppers which further spreads the
BT.
