Hi Hank....
    I have a Ronco via an old infomercial several years ago.  It's not the
most sophisticated model in the world but I like the fact that it doesn't
have a fan.  Even though the fan circulates the air evenly and you don't
have to rotate the trays as much, when you have something running for 12-14
hours or more, the fan noise can drive you nuts!  I do jerky, veggies and
fruits; haven't tried peppers yet but I imagine it will do a fine job.
