Fellow CHs, Thought I'd share with you a bitter-sweet little tale that began last evening when I arrived home from work. I've got a Thai and a Super-Thai plant that receive some "extra" attention in that they have their own special container on my porch and don't have to hang out in the garden with the other plants. They are coming along quite nicely and the super-thai had 10 or so pods on it at varying stages of development. As I gave them their nightly "looking over" I noticed that one of the pods had fallen and several others had holes in them. The Harra!!!!! (Don King impression of horror). Then I noticed the culprit who had now migrated to the normal Thai plant. After flipping through my Time-Life guide to garden pests I narrowed the culprit down to either an Army worm or a Cut worm (probably the latter). I squashed the culprit but knew there would be others so I had to act quickly. After a nice little sprinkling of Sevin Dust (please spare any chastizing for my use of a chemical, my time and options were limited) I enjoyed watching a couple of his comrades, after emerging from the shelter and comfort of the ground below, wiggling around in anguish as the night progressed. Peppers saved and worm-problem solved .......... for now! Greg
