I would like to say thanks to those who replied to my question on what spices are good to add to pure red chile sauce. I have decided (for my tastes) to use fresh squeezed garlic, onion salt, slight amount of oregano, and I sprinkle with some hab powder to the desired heat level. Some other variations to add are cumin powder or manzanilla. A little cumin goes a long way in changing the taste. I also tried boiling the whole concoction with some beef bullion cubes in it, which made a slight difference. Once again, thanks for the suggestions. John in Albuquerque
