Hi folks, While many of you are starting to harvest your 1998 Chile crops, I'm trying to decide which new seeds to offer for 1999. I've had some requests for new varieties and am pursuing: RED SAVINA HABANERO-This variety was a Shepherds Seeds exclusive until this year when it was offered by NK Seed and Lawn. Maybe the Garcias will let me sell it, although the inconsistency thread is giving me a little cause to pause. RED CARIBBEAN HABANERO which I am selling this year supposedly was refined through about 10 generations to eliminate those problems and it's almost as hot. ROCOTO-Trying to find a reliable source for this one. Any leads will result in a reward of free seeds. At least one bell type. Will probably go with BIG BERTHA. This variety has been around for a while and is a super producer of humongous 4 lobed stuffers. ROBUSTINI-This is a new Peppernocini type from Seminis Seeds. I'm trying it in the garden this year. DATIL-This Chile, grown primarily in the St. Augustine Florida area is becoming increasingly popular. Habanero Powder. If I can find a source, I would like to offer small amounts of Dried Habanero powder. This would probably be approximately 1 Tablespoon packaged in a zip-lock food grade bag. I've sent it to friends this year and it has been well received. Price, like seeds would probably be $1.00 per packet. If you like or dislike these ideas, or if you would like to see some other seeds, I will try to find them. Please send a private e-mail. Thanks in advance!
