Oh, come now, Valerie, St. Louis is great. Good representation of SE
Asians and Hispanics to spice up the excellent Italian and consistently
good Chinese cuisine.

If you are looking for places to find supplies, try Tropicana Market at
Lindenwood and Hereford on the South Side of the City "one block west of
Kingshighway and one block north of Chippewa." It is pretty authentic for
Mexican, Caribbean and other Latin American items. It also has a deli that
serves empanadas, chicken, and other neat stuff including a dynamite
"ensalada de nopalitos." No affiliation :-( just wish I had!).

Also, I have noticed the Sappington Farmer's Market on Watson Road has
begun to stock a decent line of Mexican food to add to their Balkan and
Hungarian collection. I have not been to the one at Gravois and Sappington
lately, so I do not know if there is anything there.

BTW, welcome to the "Mound City" (early Americans made many mounds here,
not sure whether it was to get the Chile plants closer to the sun....)
