Actually, "Carribean Hot Pepper" is a pretty good description, b/c most of the red habs come from the Carribean (Trinidad, Jamaica, Cuba, etc.). Red Savina is just one (patented) varietal of red hab. If you've been following the list recently, you know that there's some concern about the stability of it. However, there are a variety of others. I'm growing one now from Trinidad ("Congo Red") that sounds a bit like what you describe--very pale green, ripening to bright red, only mine are VERY wrinkled. Hope this helps a little--enjoy the HEAT and save the seeds (you can do it again next year!). ed
