Dan,

Sounds like some variety of Red Habanero.  There is a variety called a
Caribbean Red Habanero that is supposed to be nearly as hot as a Red
Savina.  I've got Savinas growing this year and will probably grow both
Savinas and Caribbeans next year just so I can make a 'scientific' comparison.
