1. My attempt to make a chile-garlic sauce similar to Huy Fong's in the squeeze bottle with the green cap has worked pretty well. I took a quart of red jalapenos, microwaved them with a little water and maybe 5 cloves of garlic for 10 minutes. Then the result was food processored with a little salt and vinegar added to taste. I added the vinegar slowly, tasting between each addition to get the sharpness I like. Real pretty bright red sauce and real easy to do. 2. The Fiery Foods Festival is in Pasco, WA this weekend. We'll be going on Saturday, so if any CHers are going, let me know. Come on, if I can go to the Mid-Atlantic Hotluck you guys can come to our irrigated desert. Right, =Mark? 3. My rocotos finally set fruit after months of blossoms. Didn't do anything to them. We did have highs that dipped into the 80s for a few days instead of the 90s+. Bill Moats Milton-Freewater, OR
