Ok, I'll bite
>1. Not everyone likes red Tabasco sauce, but most people on the list have

>can tolerate? (Higher is hotter.)
ummmm Tabasco ... I use it when nothing else is available at the restaurant.
Howver, most of the time I pack my own Calvins with me. I rate Tabasco
about a 5.
>
>2. What is the hottest pepper you routinely eat? What is your favorite
>chile?
Habs and japaenos, habs are the favorite
>
>3. How many times a week do you normally eat something you'd consider hot?
As much as possible. Truthfully ... daily, cause like I said, I pack my
Calvins, and more recently, my own hab powder.
>
>4. How long ago did you first start eating hot stuff? How old were you?
>(Yeah, yeah, I know that I can then calculate how old you are...as if I
>care...)
Started eating hot stuff many years ago, yeah, yeah, I'm ageless :) See pic
on page 2 and 3 of my webpage http://members.freehp.net/suz and tell me how
old you THINK I am.
>5. What is the first hot food you remember eating?
salsa, made by my sister-in-law, who came from Mexico.
>
>6. How long ago, in hours, did you eat something hot?
It's 7:21 p.m., haven't had anything to eat since noon, that was 7 hours
ago.
>
>7. Approximately what percent of your hot food comes from:

> - Dried peppers
> - Sauces and salsas
> - Restaurant meals

Fresh = 80%
Dried = 80%
Sauces/Salsas = 20%
Restaurant meals = 0% ... that is of course unless I open my own bottle of
Calvins or, like I said, recently, my own hab powder.
>8. Do you grow your own peppers?
ABSOLUTELY!!!!
>9. Do you cook with chiles?
ABSOLUTELY!!!!
>
>10. Do you dry chiles for later consumption?
ABSOLUTELY!!!
>
>11. Do you make your own powders?
ABSOLUTELY!!!
>12. What is the most unusual thing you've ever done with chiles (that you
>want to talk about)?
Burned my hands :)
>
>13. Have you "converted" people to the ways of chile? How many?
ABSOLUTELY!!! At least people.
>14. Do people consider you crazy (for more that just chiles)? Is it a good
>thing or a bad thing?
Yes, a few of my family members consider me crazy. This is NOT a bad thing,
as far as I'm concerned.
>15. How would you describe your cultural heritage? Is it a culture which
>typically eats chiles?
Nope, born, raised in Iowa. Moved to Arizona, where I ate my first taco at
age 13. Little different than the meat & spud stuff that Iowans considered
a meal.
>16. Indicate which fits best:
> - I am a radical vegan
> - I am a vegetarian
> - I tend towards vegetarianism
> - I'm an omnivore
> - I like meat and potatoes
******* - I didn't get to the top of the food chain for nothing
>17. Have you ever eaten something which you would consider too hot?
Describe
>the case.
lol, my fingers after chopping a pound of habs!! Actually, I just sucked on
them, but ... WOWSIES!!!
>18. Have you ever entered a hot substance eating contest? How did you do?
N/A
>19. Have you ever had an unusual strong reaction to eating peppers? What
was
>it? If so, have you had gastrointestinal problems, such as an ulcer?
Sweating. Is that an unusual reaction? No ulcers.
>
>20. Do you grow your own chiles? Lots or a little?
As many as I can with limited garden space. I have 2 acres here, but
because of "critters" (bunnies, chipmonks, squirrels, etc.) I have to limit
the garden space to the area which can be covered anti-critter material.
>21. Is your profession related to chiles? If yes, what is it?
No
>22. How long have you been on the Chile Heads list?
About a year and a half.
>23. Are you a knuckle-dragger? (If you've been on the list a short time,
you
>may not understand this...)
I KNOW a lot of knuckle-draggers ... I don't consider myself in their league
... *sigh* but it might be nice ... I digress ...
>24. How do you spell the name of our favorite fruit?
Habernero
>25. Do you use chiles for anything other than eating? What? (rael, control
>yourself...)
Nope
>26. Where do you live?
Southern California, High Desert, not far from Andy Paysinger and his
puppies.
>27. Is it hotter in the Summer or the city?
City is smoggy
I'm copying to the list, cause the list seems to be under-active today.
