Hello fellow chile heads I grew Carribean Reds, Red Savinas, and regular red habaneros this year. The Carribean Reds and the regular reds finally turned red after I urked them off a little but the Savinas refuse to turn from orange to red. They have remained orange on the plant for over 25 days. Also, they are so much bigger than the other habs-- 1 1/2 - 2 inches wide and a little over 2 1/2 inches long . They are all wrinkled looking, not hab shaped. Do you suppose they cross pollinated with the other habs and now I've got some freak? Freak or not these babys are hotter than the Carribean Reds and the regular red habs. Has any other growers out there had the same thing happen with their Red Savinas?
