Yes - me too!  Occasionally I get it from other thick-fleshed chiles like
jalapenos.  I'd say it's more indigestion.  The red ones are even worse, even
one little speck and I taste it all day.  And I thought I was the only one....
(warm thoughts toward chileheads list...)  But I don't find hot chiles to be a
cure.
ps - tamarinds with chile to be mailed soon - I have a big midterm Monday and
am also grading papers for the class I teach...  Erica
