-> You have given me some great info about planting and picking seasons, but -> now I have a seeding question. I have a beautiful 'Super-Chile' Plant that -> has spouted off fruit left and right this season. I have a couple of -> friends that would like to grow similar plants, which I am more than willing -> to provide for. My question is about seeds - do I have dry out a pepper, -> remove the seeds, dry the seeds and then plant? Can I just replant still -> hydrated seeds? Does it make a difference? x I've always dried pepper seeds before planting...but you should know that Super Chile is an F1 hybrid, which means it won't breed true from seed. You might try getting some peat pots and potting soil, taking clippings and rooting them with Rootone (check the garden store) for your friends instead. x I'm going to try planting some Super Chile seeds anyway and see what I get; figure it's worth a few extra pots. If they're duds, I can always use them to ingratiate myself to the landlady's chile-swilling parrots. :) x I like SC's combination of nice heat (7-plus-ish as grown here) with fruity red-bell-pepper flavor, and am greatly pleased with its productivity, so I'm also going to try hybridizing it with my _siling labuyos_. But I don't know SC's parentage, so I have no clue what I'll get. (Which is part of the fun, of course. :)) x Keep on rockin', Rain @@@@ \\\\\
