Luke- I had a lot of bird problems when I first started growing tepins and they were smaller. The birds we have around here don't seem to bother the hybrid tepins, which are larger. I stopped the early robbery by putting large, realistic plastic snakes on the fence and in the bushes. Moved 'em around occasionally to keep the birds guessing. The mockingbirds and Jays would come and scold the snakes every so often, but quit eating the pods. I'm growing some chiltepin/aviculare pods out front now, and the cats discourage the birds very well. Calvin
