I'd like to thank all the folks who replied after the hail storm with condolences and offers of replacement plants. I appreciate the offers, but it looks like I won't be needing to start over after all. When I went out to check this morning, every single chile that was caught in the hail had new growth! Not just the ones that were "slightly maimed", but *every* *single* *one*! The KT in a pot that had 80% of the leaves and 50% of the outer layer of the branches has new growth popping out at virtually every node. The Francisca hab that was reduced to a stalk with half a leaf is sporting fresh greenery. I am astounded. I have to say that I am mighty impressed by the regenerative capabilities of these babies. The tomato plants, which seemed to suffer less from the hail, have yet to show any signs of re- cuperation. Again, I thank you all. Scott... amazed and confused, for so long it's not true... KCK
