Hi Pat, Dewi,
Concerning Conimex I can ad a minor detail.
The name Conimex is made of the names of the founder and his wife, Cony and
Max.
I know this as my father was a friend of Max, he met him when they both
served in the army in Indonesia in 1947 till about 1950.
Max was so impressed by the Indonesian cooking, collected many recipes and
started his company when he returned to Holland.
