least it was > money well spent. My mother, who is a Chile Head, is spending the summer > with us so its great to have someone else in the house to share some hot > stuff with. She had a great suggestion for eating corn on the cob. She > liberally sprinkles (or I should say coats well) the cob with > Cayenne pepper > powder. That's one thing I have never tried. It's pretty darn > good. I'll eat Mary and I spent the weekend rafting at the Kings River (Calif) and met some new friends that turned us on to corn-on-the-cob with Louisiana Hot Sauce and butter (lowfat spray butter in our case)--fairly mild by this group's standards but a new dimension in corn! I'm gonna try the cayenne, some Calvin's and some other sauces--hmmm, MWPH's Hab sauce comes to mind. Just got our first order and they included some Hab sauce gratis! All of it great stuff. :) Had a great trip, made some marinara sauce on pasta with habaneros, yellow wax, jalapeņo's, greens and home grown paprika. One night we grilled a bunch of various veggies including a good selection of store bought and home grown chiles! Really tasty after a hard day on the river! I was worried our new friends couldn't handle the heat but they loved it! > And, finally, I have to agree with Baker R. that Tabasco Hab Sauce > is pretty good and I still like the original occasionally on eggs > and pizza. The Hab sauce is decent--had it on a chipotle wrap at a nice sandwich house the other day. But they seem to have quit supplying last time it so we had to settle for the regular Tabasco. Riley
