Thank you, one and all, for the many chile roasting and peeling techniques. I did it!! Feeling confident, I took a trip to the city market and brought home a large bag of home grown anaheims (since there are none growing in my garden...I'll fix that next year). Then I brought up a dusty indoor/outdoor electric BBQ from the basement and spent the afternoon roasting chiles in the air conditioning. It really IS easy. Patience should have been number one in the chile roasting lessons. I had been roasting them too quickly and trying to peel them immediately afterwards. Also, after seeing the "Boz" signature on one response, I realized that it is his recipe for green chile that I have been using since he posted the recipe ages ago and I want to say thanks! I love that stuff and now I can use my own roasted chiles instead of buying those little cans. Life is good. Thanks, guys and gals, Michelle in KC
