Guess they are different on this side of the pond. Here is a description of tobacco/tobacco hornworm. I would like at least Sir Gareth to note, is the statement that 1 method of hornworm control is low nitrogen. http://ipmwww.ncsu.edu/AG271/tobacco/hornworms.html Lord Byron The best method of control is to leave your hornets alone, and let them control the hornworms. If hornets aren't in my way, they are left alone. They cruise up and down the rows of my garden, looking for tiny larvae (and hornworms once were tiny) with which to provision their egg cases. I haven't had tomato hornworms for years. I am not talking about yellow jackets. They are different critters than what I'm talking about. Plain old mud wasps or hornets. Margaret Lauterbach
