Greetings from over-cast CA!
Wow, Austin. Normally people would describe me as about the most energetic
person they know (after all I live on hot sauce and soup!), but this weekend
it felt as if I was beaten by the elements of Austin (it did say it was 110
degrees as I was leaving!).
High Points:
Meeting the Cooks, tasting cheesecake for the first time in about 15 years (I
normally would never...but how could I resist a Habanero-Lime CheeseCake?),
Chile Pepper Magazine's Party, Winning an Award, Watching folk's reactions as
they tasted our products, being next to Elsie the cow (we have a love thing
going on) and being around all of the vendors and Chile-Heads.
Dave, you and your wife went far beyond the call of duty of being official
Austin Tour Guides. Thank you so much for your help and your kindness. Man,
I am going to have to work out a lot now, because I am addicted to habanero
cheese cake.
All in all, it was a great weekend. Now I just hope that the 3 buyers that
came by our booth will actually buy the product that they said they loved.
On a side note: the kids from the Borden Booth fell in love with our
Moondance Marinade and bought a case...We made them promise to keep it away
from the beautiful Elsie and Baby Beau.
Always keeping it spicy,
