hi folks, while chopping some serranos today, i noticed that about 1/3 of them had seeds which had a dark, almost blackish coloration in the center of the seed itself. the other peppers ( red serranos, btw ) had a typical "cream" color to the seeds. i confess, though they were fresh at time of purchase, they did lounge in the fridge for about 7 days; slightly wilted stems but firm pods. any idea what the discoloration might be? what caused it? are they still OK to eat? regards peter g
