Hi, Kevin-- I typically bring in a few of my pepper plants each year and have them do pretty well, giving me a winter yield. However, I keep them in my dinette, which gets direct southerly exposure through windows and skylights and can also be the warmest place in the house on a winter mid-afternoon. I personally don't think that they would do as well in my basement, which despite the fact that it's walkout with a similar exposure, has few windows and is at least 10 to 15 degrees cooler. If you can give them some warmth and have more sun than I do, you may be able to pull it off. Does anyone use growlights during the winter for their chiles? Cathy
