Tiki, Kevin, et CHs, Last season I over-wintered two chile plants. The "Chaco" a/k/a AT Hunziker did FAIRLY well in my basement. I kept watering it, and turned on lights ("plain" 40W fluorescent tube lights) during the day. It STILL lost a lot of leaves, and some branches dried out, but come spring-time, it came back with a head start on all other plants. If any branches were the LEAST bit green, they sprouted new leaves once they got a dose of natural sunshine. the plaat is at least as prolific as it was last year. My brother over-wintered a chinense plant, the "arrivivi gusano" as a house plant, no extra grow lighting, just sunlight. It came back this year blooming and fruiting just fine. This year I left MOST of my plants in 1- or 2- gallon containers. I will certainly try and over-winter them all. (So much for using the basement workbench this winter...) I'll keep you posted.
