This is interesting--quote: "Rotenone is an organic product made from extracts of tropical plants. It is widely used as an agricultural pesticide and to kill unwanted fish in reservoirs." It's not an artificial compound. Purely organic: ro·te·none (r?t'n-?n') n. A white crystalline compound, C23H22O6, extracted from the roots of derris and cubé and used as an insecticide. The article states that rats which had rotenone pumped (24 hrs/day) into them for up to 5 weeks got Parkinson's disease--"In the experiment conducted at Emory University in Atlanta, neurologists implanted tiny pumps in the rats to continuously administer low doses of rotenone through the jugular vein for as long as five weeks." Does rotenone have any heat to it?
