Sort of OT but.... I have a Rocoto (first year - two months old with 1 fruit almost ripe and ready to pick and another just starting) - commercial variety called "Hot Lips". One of my friends has a property in a small place called "Cargo", an australian country town near a larger country town called "Orange". They get pretty severe frosts there and I was wondering if anyone has had practical experience growing the Rocotos in such conditions - gets bloody hot in summer with heavy frosts in spring and autumn. They don't get snow like Orange, but it does get cold. I've heard the Rocotos can survive frosts and was going to give her a couple of pods later in the year for her to get seeds to propagate from, but would love to hear if anyone has actual knowledge. regards, jr
