Quoting James Robertson to all: >One of my friends has a property in a small place called "Cargo", an >australian country town near a larger country town called "Orange". They >get pretty severe frosts there and I was wondering if anyone has had >practical experience growing the Rocotos in such conditions - gets bloody >hot in summer with heavy frosts in spring and autumn. They don't get snow >like Orange, but it does get cold. <snip>.. love to hear if anyone has actual knowledge. To clarify this a little bit, the town Orange is in a climatic zone very similar to a borderline USDA zone 8/9. Anyone growing rocotos in an area zone 8/9 that can give advice? BTW, Orange is a very nice little town. I pass through it quite a lot when I do field work. It may amuse you to know that Orange is noted for being a prime apple producing area....!
