1.  Feeding,  1 feeding of a 5% solution of a seed start formula  or cow
tea.

2. Watering,  Allow the soil surface to dry out 12 to 24 hours before
rewatering.  This will prevent damp off.

3.  Started too early,  about the 6th true leaf stage transplant into 1/2
gal deep pots, otherwise they will be so pot bound it won't be worth the
effort to transplant them.

4.  Starting,, Find out when most folks plant out tomatoes,  add 2 weeks,
then back up 6 to 8 weeks.  Reason  Peppers like warm soil,  Per Stokes and
Johnnys seeds mean when the soil temp is at 60F at 8AM.
OR

For you Northern Growers,  transplant when peonies are in full bloom..

Plant out too early,  they have a phouphours uptake problem,  And for every
night the temps drop below 50F you lose 3 days at harvest.  The plants tend
to be sick and bug ridden.
