Just go with an >> Appleworks DB and work from there? >> > Not sure if there's a MasterCook for mac... I make part of my meager living writing databases... I simply wrote my own database. It's not really that spiffy, as I never intended it to be of general use, and it doesn't import MasterCook... IF there's that much of a demand, and y'all don't mind the fact that it might take months to spend the 3 or 4 hours it would take to do (in my copious free time...) I can re-write it, make it x-plat (mac & windows, anywho...) etc, and distribute it as "foodware" or somethin'. If someone can send me a mastercook data file, I can see if I can import it. It really should be trivial importing text files exported from MasterCook.... As Riley said, it depends on what format the mastercook files are as to wether or not I could import them. But, it's the wrong season for "recreational programming". Between storm chasing, work cranking up, and teaching high school marching bands, this time of year is really icky, so it might be more like september before I'd get a round tuit. Appleworks is pretty limiting database-wise, you can't import a whole lot of file formats, and definately doesn't directly support Mastercook format... And if the mastercook exported text files are anything other than straight single-table, tab-delimited text, you're not likely to be able to get it to import.
