Hold on thar, pilgrim. I don't remember casting any such aspersions. In
fact, I seem to remember saying only *nice* things, unless you count my
mildly sarcastic suggestion that it's an error to suggest that all Americans
have exactly the same eating habits.

I got a couple jars of that once. It was quite good, but I had a hard time
finding stuff to put it on....

Ah....now *there's* a Good Thing. Next time you have a pork chop that needs
a little attention, take a tablespoon or two of the abobo, and rub it all
over the thing. Give it about 15 minutes to make friends with the meat, and
proceed...

It ain't just Marmite. Even worse, it's Canadian Marmite. All we could get
for a while.

You'll be glad to hear we don't go through a lot of it, except when some
adventurous houseguest finds it on the table, and applies it to his toast as
though it were strawberry jam.

The Vegemite goes a bit more quickly, though I don't leave it unprotected on
the table. Stuff costs about $7 a jar.

I seem to remember a backlash when Vegemite was bought by Kraft Foods --
someone was threatening to produce something called Aussiemite, or some such.
 Anything come of it?
