The way Jim and others use the long sheets of plastic requires a special rig 
to install it by hilling the soil, and burying the edges of the plastic as 
you go down the row.  Then holes are punched and seedlings are placed 
through them.  I saw the same thing on a huge scale in the farm country 
between Miami and the Everglades.

Didn't someone post here a long time ago about using newspapers in a similar 
way?
