Been hardening off the plants in the garage on shelf by a sunny window for the last few days ... went out yesterday morning to check the plants and two Biker Billy's were completely gone and a plain ol' jalapeno had been nibbled at the base kinda like what a beaver would do to a tree. When I picked up one of the peat pots, I discovered that something had gnawed its way through the bottom of the pot, up through the dirt and found dinner in the form of my precious little pepper plants. I put out a couple of traps with cheese ... little booger ate the cheese without springing the traps and then dined on another two plants! I'm putting them in the ground today (the plants, not the mouse ... maybe), so I shouldn't have this problem again. Anybody else ever heard of chile-head mice? Brad
