My .22 only shoots longs and there is people building houses nearby. I have been thinking of getting a BB gun just for this kind of stuff. And it would have come in handy for defending my cherry tree against bird attack a week ago. let me tell you, having your cherry striped bare by birds, year after year will change your opinion of them. After a few years of gardening I have grown to despise birds. There was times last year that I was ready to take out the old 12 gauge after seeing holes in my tomatoes. Matt
