While these products may seem non-toxic to the skin, they werent intended for ingestion. And alas, anything deposited on a cats fur is licked off by the cat and ingested while they are grooming themselves. Many indoor cats are made sick by people who use too many household cleaning products on their floors or furniture, or gas and oil spots in the garage that cats can walk on and then lick their paws clean. To scare cats away, run towards them clapping your hands and yelling. Even throw something in their direction, but not at them. That's what I do to my neighbors' cats and they dont come around much anymore. Or if you have a hose in your hand when you see one, spray them with water. Or keep a powerful squirtgun with water handy. You dont need to hurt the animal to scare it away. Meconella
