As, we found out today, when we put a couple of bonnets into my dear brides nectarine chutney, which is great stuff, and is posted http://www.PepperFool.com then click Recipes, then Doug Irvine, and I tried the scotch bonnets by licking my finger, after cutting them up(a sure FIRE way of determining heat). So....hot they were not, compared to Jim Campbells smoked and ground up habs, or even the habs we are lucky enuf to get around here.....so hadda add another couple. My idea of a scotch bonnet, after that episode, has gone down considerably....I was always under the impression that they were the same as habs in heat, but they aint even close! They do have a cute shape, but who cares about shape? Unless it is the shape of a cute YL!!! Is that PC? And if not, who cares?? Not this 75 yr old curmogeon!!!! Cheers, Doug in BC
