<< BTW that container came from a Japanese grocery - it had a seasoned hot pepper mix called (probably get this wrong) nanami togarashi. It's a small bottle, more slender than a Tabasco bottle, and the shaker top has just one large hole that can pass fairly large flakes. >> Good discovery! We love Shichimi Togarashi also. Great sprinkled in broths and on seafood such as scallops. Both Charlie Trotter and Jean-Georges Vongerichten (of Vong fame) use these in their fusion cuisines. There is another similar seasoning for rice called Wasabi Fumi Furikane. These nice mixes contain nori, chiles or horseradish etc. Another thing that is a quick hot fix for lunch KimChi Instand Noodle Bowls. These are by Korea Yukult. I usually toss him some fresh veggies' as well. Mary-Anne, List Owner TomatoMania-subscribe@YahooGroups.com USDA Zone 9b/Sunset 14/15 "There are only two ways to live your life.
