Rodney, you said it all here: "The distance in miles between us does not mean there is a distance from my heart ." You've done much. Contine to do as you can, when you can... And, most importantly, continue to love your brothern as you love yourself. I wish to take this opportunity to thank all 'Heads across various ponds and borders for their love and support as we Amerkins (did I spell it rite, Doug?) suffer through this/these trying times. I've cried many a tear over the love and support I've read here and I cannot thank you all enough for your support and sympathy. I want to commend my brothers and sisters across the pond in the UK - PLEASE DO NOT THINK I'M SLIGHTING THE REST OF YOU!!! - for Tony Blair's words on Wednesday. That the UK would "stand shoulder to shoulder" with us. I bawled my eyes out. In the midst of such devistation, someone - Tony - was with us, and I didn't feel so befret. I felt that he truly understood that this was not just against the US, but against mankind. As I cried I said, "Bless you Tony, BLESS YOU." Thank you all for being loving friends. We here, in Amerika, need you now more than ever. Bless you. Bless you. Bless you. Thank you all so much. You will never know what it means to me, and the rest of America. We're so lucky to have good friends like you. May the gods be with us all. love, green -----Original Message----- From: owner-chile-heads@globalgarden.com [mailto:owner-chile-heads@globalgarden.com]On Behalf Of RODNEY LIVINGSTON Sent: Friday, September 14, 2001 11:19 PM To: chile-heads-digest@globalgarden.com Subject: [CH] Heartfelt Bestwishes The number of times I have started this letter over the past few days are many. Hopefully it makes sence this time. After the reality sank in that what happened to your wonderful country was real I almost lost hope for the human race. It proves that there is a God though. Without God there is no Satan and only ones blinded by his evil could perpetrate such an act. The grief that is felt now lies heavy upon my heart as well. Every time I travel to America I have been welcomed with open arms by the friendliest and most open people in the world. Your joy , willingness to laugh and love won my affection immediately. To see something like this happen to a Nation like yours has left me stunned . The closest thing I can say is I have a hole in my soul. I have given blood, made a donation to the Red Cross yet somehow it is not enough. Can anyone let me know if there are any shortages ; i.e. medical supplies bottled water anything at all I will do my best to see you get it. I pray for all of you that God's will be done and guide us all through these times that so darken the start of the21st century. Is there a memorial site where people are leaving flowers and cards? Does anyone want to organize one from all of us? Let me know and a Money order will be in the mail. I live in southwestern Ontario so I am not far from the border. The distance in miles between us does not mean there is a distance from my heart . It overwhelmes me to think of how many families are devistated through this. There is a lot of pepper related news in my life this week yet I had to write this first . Yours Truly Rodney Livingston
