<Am I the only one here who feels that the people who have expressed their feeling about what happened on September 11 have a right to do so? Maybe the CH list was disrupted for a week or so, but in the big scheme of things, it's not a long time out of our lives (and it's not an abundance of reading to deal with) and I think we should all be considerate and supportive of those who have found our list as a source of support. I'd like to think that we would all support those who are looking for the help. It's somewhat disappointing that some of us are too wound up in our own lives to understand the suffering of others.> I agree. Yes, one week of not really talking chiles is not a big deal. I love my chiles, dried or fresh, sprinkled or whole. I love growing them. I have bugs and diseases like everyone who grows them and have weather problems too. But everyone was astounded and shocked by what happened. If they wanted to talk about that, they had a right. Even here. We are human even though we are chile-heads. 99% of the time we post what is relevant to the topic but there is a 1% that we have to vent about other things. We consider eachother friends or at least acquaintances (sp) and if we want to vent to each other we have a right. I omit all extra stuff stuck to my posts and that does bother me when folks don't but not enough to rant and rave on the C-H list. I would do it to the list owner and then have them post something. But that doesn't always work. Either does this. People, I agree with one thing...do be considerate of the digest folks. That extra parts of the thread at the end of the messages is a pain in the butt. Just highlight and delete. Much better for all concerned. If you want to use part of the message, then highlight the parts that are not relevant. Delete them.
