Sending another post because I sent in HTML first time. Russ, Tom & Anybody else with help, Before sending me any more information on canning seals, please go to picture at this site: http://www.kitchenkrafts.com/cgi-bin/SoftCart.exe/scstore/p-PG0160.html?L+sc store+ubuf1190+974055299 The picture is of the "old style" jar with the rings in front of it. I guess I'm showing my age when I tell you that when I lived at home we had a canning weekend and used these "bail type" jars until these seals became scarce. Supposedly there was a big problem with these seals. I remember having to cull out a few jars of the hundred or more we put up back then. Of the thirty jars of peppers I put up last year I did not lose a one. I do not want to clog up this list with this topic so please E-mail me directly with any information & feel free to contact me on my methods to "Recycle & Reuse" these antiques. Paul
