Thanks for the heads up. I would have bought the $10 one otherwise. My local Lowes has all the Weber accessories.

Bought lump charcoal & hickory chunks this morning at my local Super WallyWorld. "Real Flavor" brand. Their website is *coming soon* so can't give any more info. Mesquite chunks were also available. (already have lifetime supply) Price wasn't bad. Reading the label on the lump charcoal cautions that it burns hotter & longer than briquettes. Supposedly no chem additives, but doesn't say what kind of wood the charcoal is made from.

Will be BBQing on Sunday just before the Chiefs lose another football game. (chicken, pork chops & burgers) Will try some peppers afterward. Am still debating whether or not to start the peppers in the dehydrator before giving them some smoke or smoke them some first & then finish drying. (I'm wanting smoked powder & flakes) There will be only a few of several varieties of peppers as this will be a test run. This should also decide whether or not I buy a separate grate to use strictly for peppers. Some have reported a transfer of meat taste to the peppers if using the same grate. But hey, a porkchop flavored hickory smoked pepper might not be all that bad.
