Hellishly painfull, but only for a few minutes, and the cold sore clears up much quicker than normal. What's more, the cold sores don't seem to happen as frequently now. Dunno if there is any correlation, but I'll take what I can get...I believe that same post also mentioned that some South American women use cayenne powder on their nipples to encourage weaning...break those kiddies in right!
