Sambal, also known as sambal bajak (or badjak), is simply a paste of hot
chile pepers, various spices and lime juice. Other ingredients also can be
added.Sambals are usually served as an accompaniment to rice (delicioso) and
curried dishes, either as a condiment or as a side dish. It can be found in
Indonesian and Chinese markets and probably on the Internet! Sunny Conley
