Picking and handling more red Savinas than I'll probably eat in a lifetime was fun... Which brings up the purpose of this post. I'd like to offer my services as a volunteer weekend migrant laborer. I'm sure the open fields plot will need some work--donating a weekend of manual labor is my way of saying thanks. Of course there's the selfish side--I'm sure I'll get some therapeutic rewards from a weekend of "playing" farmer. People used to play cowboy at dude ranches--Last year's event made me think a farming version could be just as fun--but I'll do real work. (I'm posting this to the list because I'd bet there are others who could give different weekends, to give you a steady supply of volunteers) As to advice on how much to plant, I will have to trust your judgement as I have no idea what the yield will be on a quarter acre...
