I recently read a wonderful book: The Secrets of The Tsile Cafe by Thomas Fox Averill. For anyone who likes cooking, especially with chile peppers, I couldn't praise this book more. I started it as I sat down to dinner with my supper of amaranth, beans, chiles and tomatoes, all from our house gardens and immediately became fascinated by reading about someone who liked to cook with native foods. Even though this was a novel, it is full of food and chile stories. Be warned: have chiles at hand while readng this as you will get some serious chile cravings!
