George (and all CH's) -- Yes, I caught the show as well, but wasn't quite as impressed (although some of the recipes did look kind of nice). Two major things really sort of burned me -- (1) Gordon Idiot referred to every fresh chile as a jalapeno and every smoked chile as a chipotle. You would think that (based on previous Food TV shows that have gotten a little closer with the nomenclature) they could at least get the names of the chiles correct. (2) The choice of chefs was pretty poor, I thought -- I didn't find any of these chefs to be extremely knowledgeable with respect to chiles. This is inexcusable when there are a number of charismatic chefs who are, in fact, CH experts -- I mention a few here: Rick Bayless, Chris Schlesinger, Mary Sue Milliken, Susan Fenniger, Mark Miller, Stephen Pyles, and Dean Fearing (even Sara Moulton would have been better than some of these folks, for crying out loud). I would like to hear from others about this.... George -- my prayers are with you and your wife. Matt ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ T.
