Exit lurk mode.... Now, now Jim, as one of those newspaper people, I have to stand by the AP Stylebook. It may not agree with you, but it is our Bible on the news desk. If it makes you feel better, my bookend for it is a jar of mixed habaneros I pickled after this summer's harvest. I use the peppers to threaten my student reporters who get AP Style wrong. It's quite effective, as they are all cowards who won't even taste a hab, much less consider cooking with them. On an unrelated note, I am all set to help with an Iron Chef-like fund-raiser. My Christmas present from my wife was a habanero-themed apron, mitts and hat, with the embroidery reading "Habanero Chef." You can't get more prepared than that! Re-enter lurk mode. Steven E.
