Mark, I've got over 10,000 pepper seedlings seeded in my greenhouse right now in various size plug trays, most are 288 cell size. What I usually do is wait for at least 2 true leaves, (not coytldons) and also a nice root system before I start transplanting to larger cell trays, usually 72 or 48 cell units. Most of the time this is 3-4 weeks after seeding, sometimes longer for slower growing plant like habeneros. I have some habs popping up now that were seeded last Saturday. Soil temp is around 70° F.
