> >Maybe this year Linda and I will camp in Clifty Falls State Park - >since some of us regional chileheads are developing our own >camping/cooking tradition, I would love to have a springtime camping >event to see everyone again. Anyone else interested? Having never been able to make it to the hotluck (though I've made it to the FFS a couple of times), I'd certainally love to make it this year. Alas, my financial situation is preventing me from doing most everything I want to do (don't ever have a father with Cancer. it's too dang expensive....). If I can scrape together the funds, camping in Clifty Falls was going to be my plan, as I'm certain I couldn't afford a hotel, and the next-nearest place I _might_ be able to stay is in Scottsburg, at a friend's house - a bit further than I'd wanna drive after eating for 8 hours... um.. What was the point.... Oh, yeah, IF I can make it at all, I'd be camping in CFSP, too. Probably would take Friday off of work and head down there on thursday night, camp thursday, cook something (donknow what...) for the hotluck at the campsite as well as do some hiking on Friday (Clifty falls is a pretty nifty state park, especially if the tempearture can stay arround 31 degrees for a while - ice and waterfalls are a beautiful combo), go to the hotluck, camp again friday night, then hit the FFS on saturday, then back home. Alas, it's about a 20% chance I'll be able to do any of it, but, if I can, I'd love to know that the only other person knocking the frozen rain off of his tent in the morning was a fellow CH. -- Chad Gard, KB9WXQ INCHASE: http://www.inchase.org Co-founder SCOA: http://www.stormchasersofamerica.org Member #3 INSWA: http://www.insw.org Unit #21
