I can't ever remember seeing a wooden press that wasn't home-made.  Some of 
those worked pretty well, some didn't....

Given no other information beyond the pictures they've provided, I'd go with 
the metal one, for one reason only: the design looks like it gives better 
leverage.

And, now that I think of it, it looks easier to store, quicker to clean, and 
sturdier.

And it costs half as much.
