Mike and all. I'm curious, how does one go about crossing two
different plants to get a new one? Is it something a hobby gardener
can do or is it a little more advanced than that?

Is it just a matter of transferring the pollen from one plant to the
stigma of another? Does it matter which way you go?? For example, let
say I wanted to cross....oh, a Cayenne with a jalapeno. Does it matter
if I take the pollen from the cayenne or the jalapeno to get results?
Does choosing the pollen or stigma for a specific plant over another
mean that you are going to get specific traits on every result from the
source pollen or stigma plant?
